What started as an idea to give back to local pups in need has grown into a dream to do so much more, all because of one pup…his name is Winston 💜

Our Mission

In 2014, I adopted my “heart dog”, Winston 💜 Winston inspired me to do more to give back to pups just like him, forever changing my life. Winston is the entire reason our organization & mission exist. The second paragraph continues with how our organization has grown and evolved, but we recently lost Mr. Winston in November of 2024 and we are completely and entirely heart broken. Winston was the absolute bestest boy. He had the most handsome smile, perfect helicopter ears, and the biggest heart. He love his pup sister, Sophie, with all of his heart. They were complete soulmates. He also love his momma, Caitie, so much. She was the best mom to our boy. We will forever miss you handsome man, as we continue to carry on your legacy for the rest of our lives.

After I adopted our sweet boy in 2014, we worked with local non-profits for 3 years to raise much-needed funds & awareness for homeless dogs. Despite not having a facility, we consistently received pleas to help dogs who were in need of extra assistance. Many of these were for dogs who were not doing well in the shelter environment and had become shut-down. Deciding we could and had to do more, we started fundraising in 2017 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with the goal of building a brick and mortar sanctuary, along with a network of foster homes.

What started as a dream has now become a reality — we have officially finished our 5+ acre sanctuary that boasts a nearly 11,000 sq. ft. play yard and 4 “Doggie Condos,” equipped with large windows overlooking the countryside, dimming lights, sound eliminating panels, and cameras so we can keep an eye on the pups. All while growing our foster program. When a new pup becomes a member of the Winston’s Wishes family, they get to decompress at our Sanctuary before starting their next chapter, whether it is in their foster home or their happily ever after…all because of one pup, Winny Boy 💜
